Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship Week in CSD

October 14-16, 2024, Canyons School District will be participating in our annual Digital Citizenship Week. Included below is an overview of the activities we will be sharing and discussing in our school so that you may extend these conversations with your children at home. From artificial intelligence, cyberbullying and photo sharing to digital footprints and online safety, we want to help students and families address important topics and have meaningful conversations about making great choices in their digital lives.

“The Big Data Dilemma”

Students will explore the benefits and drawbacks of online tracking, so they can make smart decisions about online privacy.

“Social Media and How You Feel”

Students will identify how using social media makes them feel. They will then discuss active and passive media use and how being digital media creators can help with their social and emotional well-being.

“Who are you on Social Media?”

Students will understand social media is a way for them to present themselves to the world and how they can present the self that they aim to be.
