Bruin Support Day

Salt Lake Community College is coming to Hillcrest to host their Bruin Support Day.  On Thursday, November 20, academic advisors will help students apply to SLCC and answer any questions.  Students currently taking Concurrent Enrollment classes through SLCC who had trouble with the college application process during UCAW should make it a priority to attend. This event will be held during APP class in the presentation room.  See you then!

SLCC College Conference

Juniors and Seniors are invited to join us at the SLCC Multicultural Conference on Friday, November 14th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We will have a bus available. This is a great opportunity to explore the various SLCC programs available. If you are interested in the field trip, please see Miss Elena in A171.

Digital Citizenship

Phones and sleep don’t mix!  Use your next drive to talk with your teen about healthy sleep habits and setting phone-free boundaries. Listen to a Common Sense Carpool Conversation together and see where the conversation goes.  https://tinyurl.com/carpool9-12

After-School Credit Recovery

Have you failed any classes? The first quarter is ending next week, and After School Credit Recovery begins after Fall Break. If you need to make up credit, now is the time! Please see the attached flyer for information. All students who sign up for this program will need to pay the $20 access fee for Accelerate if they have not paid it yet this year. This yearly fee can be paid in the main office. For more information or to ask any questions, please email tiffany.jessop@canyonsdistrict.org.

Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Reminders

If you want to sign up for an AP exam, please make sure you don’t miss the deadline and incur late fees. Registration is two steps, and both steps must be completed to have an exam ordered. Please contact Ms. Williams or Ms. Mertz in the counseling center with any questions.
