College Days at Hillcrest

Seniors! Utah Valley University, the University of Utah, and Salt Lake Community College will host APP sessions in the presentation room for seniors planning to attend these colleges.

  • The University of Utah will be at Hillcrest on Monday, March 30th
  • UVU session will be at Hillcrest on Wednesday, April 1st
  • The SLCC session will be on May 18th

Spring Fling Guest Pass

Students and Parents/Guardians, 

In order to bring a guest to any school dance, students must fill out the online guest pass form. The form must filled out by the day before any dance. For Spring Fling on Saturday, March 28th, the form must be filled out by Friday @ 8:00 pm. Guest passes will not be accepted at the door. 

All guests to a Hillcrest dance must be 14 – 18 years old and must be in at least high school (no middle school students allowed). All guests must also follow all Hillcrest dance rules (Attached).

Health Science Internship Class

🩺 What the Internship class is: A Health Science Internship through Hillcrest High’s CTE department, where you’ll get real-world experience at healthcare sites around the Salt Lake Valley.

📅 Key Dates

  • Application deadline: (apply ASAP)
  • Interviews: April 2nd and 3rd 
    • Before or after school on the 2nd and the 3rd
    • Location: A141 (Mr. Wood’s office)

📍 Possible Internship Sites

You will be placed at these places:

  • Intermountain Healthcare
  • St. Mark’s Hospital
  • Lakeview Hospital
  • Shriners Hospital
  • Roseman University of Health Sciences
  • Salt Lake Community College Jordan Campus

✅ Requirements (Important)

You must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Have your own transportation
  • Attend all scheduled experiences
  • Complete:
    • Immunizations & medical tests
    • Training (like HIPAA + facility training)
  • Be available during 8th period (1:30–3:30 PM)
  • Follow class expectations from the internship supervisor
  • Wear solid-color scrubs

After-School Credit Recovery

Have you failed any classes? If you need to make up credit, now is the time! Please see the attached flyer for information. All students who sign up for this program will need to pay the $20 access fee for Accelerate if they have not paid it yet this year. This yearly fee can be paid at the main office. Prom Dress and Formal Wear Giveaway

Our annual prom dress and formal wear giveaway is on April 2nd and 3rd after school in the hosting room (A178). Come find formal dresses, suits, and dress shirts. All clothing is free, including alterations. If you are interested in donating a very clean dress or suit, please bring it to the front office. Thank you to the Corner Canyon SBOs and the Local Bee for all their donations!

Hillcrest Community Cultural Night

The annual Hillcrest Community Cultural Night is on April 23rd from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Sign up to be a part of our talent show during the night! Open to all talent. Sign up HERE. Also, the PTSA awards 3 $200 scholarships to Hillcrest seniors! You must be a PTSA member and complete the application. Applications are due April 23.
