Back to School Registration
Online Back to School Registration is available starting on August 4th on Skyward. Parents/Guardians will need to complete back-to-school registration online on their family access account through Skyward, found HERE, before students can access their schedule.
- Parking permit click HERE – Open to Juniors & Seniors. Complete the form, gather the required documents, and turn them all in to the HHS main office.
- Nutrition fee waiver click HERE – please print the form, complete it, gather any required documents, and return it to the school. (The form is also available through the back-to-school registration)
- For class fee waiver (English) click HERE – please print the form, complete it, gather any required documents, and turn it in at the HHS main office.
- Lockers are not mandatory. If students would like a locker, they should visit the Attendance Office to obtain a locker number and combination. This can be done at any time during office hours.
In-person registration assistance is available in English and Spanish on August 5 – 15, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm For other languages needing assistance, please contact Student Support Services at 801-826-6167.
Essential Schedule Changes
RETURNING STUDENTS: ESSENTIAL SCHEDULE CHANGES ONLY will be seen by counselors. (Below are examples of what would be considered an essential change.)
- A class that is needed for graduation is not on your schedule
- You took a class over the summer, passed it, and now need it removed from your schedule
- IB classes are missing that are needed to fulfill IB Diploma requirements
Returning students may come on the following dates for ESSENTIAL schedule changes only. No appointment is required. Students may walk in during the following dates and times.
- August 8, 2025—All Grades: 8 am – 12 pm
- August 12, 2025—All Grades: 1 pm – 3 pm
- August 13, 2025—All Grades: 1 pm– 3 pm
Non-Essential Schedule Changes: You will need to attend the courses on your current schedule. If you and your teacher agree that the course is not the best fit for you after the first week of class, please have your teacher email your counselor to see if a change is possible.
School Pictures
It is mandatory for all students to get their pictures taken before the beginning of the school year (purchase not necessary). Due to a new check-in process, implemented for the 25/26 school year, all students will need their student ID cards at the front attendance window. After their picture is taken, all students will receive their school identification card. School identification cards will be needed for: late entry into the school, school lunches, school dances, and other school-sponsored events.

Back to School Night
Join Hillcrest on August 13th from 5:00 pm-7:30 pm in the Hillcrest Commons for our Annual Back to School Night! Learn about our clubs, athletic teams, and school programs. Free student haircuts and school supplies will be available. Students, take your school picture in the Auditorium! Free tacos for the first 500 people!


Freshman Orientation
We are excited that you will be attending Hillcrest High School and look forward to meeting you during Freshman Orientation on August 15th! This day is all about getting to know the school, becoming comfortable with your class schedule, and meeting your teachers, counselors, and administration. Please come prepared to have your school pictures taken.
The activities will begin at 7:45 am and finish at 12 pm. Lunch will be provided. Please click HERE to see the schedule of events.
Student drop-off is on the West side of the school. The East side is for bus drop-off only. Buses will pick up students at their regular bus stops at 7:30 am.
