Due to a new district policy, the east side doors are not to be used as an entrance. All students, visitors, and deliveries must enter on the west side of the building through the main office doors. The buzzer no longer functions. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Students, as the weather warms up, please be aware that the dress code still applies. Students out of dress code will be asked to go to the Attendance Office. They will be given the option to change into a Hillcrest T-shirt (or shorts if applicable), or they may call home for an exchange of clothing. Students will not be permitted to return to class unless they are appropriately dressed.

Prom
Prom is on April 26th from 7-10 pm at the Ladu Event Center (61 West 10600 South, Sandy). Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased by clicking the link: https://gofan.co/event/3470815. If you are planning to bring a guest to prom who is not a Hillcrest student, they must fill out the form linked: https://forms.gle/nzqGcDsCHePUtpkt8. The form must be completed by Friday, April 25th at 3:00 PM.

Senior Corner
Cap and Gown Pickup
Attention all Senior Students,
Jostens will deliver caps and gowns at Hillcrest High School on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 11:06 am – 12:58 pm. Students must attend the senior assembly on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, during APP and meet the following criteria to pick up their caps and gowns. Counselors will monitor the distribution of the cap and gowns and clear you off the list before you can approach the Jostens’ table to receive your cap and gown.
Criteria to Pick Up Cap and Gown:
- Must be on track for graduation
- Must complete the senior survey (to be given out at the senior assembly)
- Must have successfully completed the Civics Test
- Must have all school fees paid
- Must have all library fees paid
*Note: Students have until May 28, 2025, at 2:30 pm to pick up their cap and gown before graduation. This is the afternoon prior to graduation. Please reach out to your student’s counselor if you have any questions.

Advanced and Honors Diploma
Attention Seniors!!
A list of seniors qualifying for the Advanced or Honors Diploma will be available in the counseling office on April 21st- 25th. Please review this list to be sure you will be receiving the diploma you qualify for. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jill Paulson or your counselor in the counseling center. Diploma Appeal forms are due to the Counseling Center by Friday, April 25th.
AP Exams
AP exams begin May 5th! Check your exam date/time on College Board or see the schedule below. Please bring a fully charged school-issued Chromebook, a pencil, a pen with black or dark blue pen ink, a permissible calculator for certain exams, and your College Board login. Do not bring cell phones, smart watches, food, or mechanical pencils. Please see Mrs. Williams in the counseling center if you have any questions.

Preschool
Great news! Jr. Huskies Preschool is expanding and is currently accepting applications for the 25/26 school year. Click the form below to sign up your student for preschool, or stop by our main office for a registration packet. Summer School
Hillcrest Summer School will be in the Presentation Room from June 2nd to 12th. Sessions will be Monday through Thursday, with no Friday sessions. The A.M. session will be from 7:30 am-11:10 am with bus pickup at 7:00 am and drop off at 11:15 am. The P.M. session will be from 11:45 am- 3:25 pm with bus pickup at 11:30 am and drop off at 3:45 pm. Bus pickup and drop off will be at Midvale, East Midvale, and Sandy Elementary Schools. Please contact your counselor or Ms. Jessop in A173 if you have any questions.



Pre-Employment Fair
Step into your future by encouraging students to start now to plan for future job opportunities. Students can receive resources and connections to help build workforce skills, preparing them for life after high school. Connections and experiences that they can begin practicing now in preparation for future job opportunities.
Join us for the annual Pre-Employment Fair, which will provide connections and tools for middle and high school special education students and 504 students who have pre-employment goals.
PTSA
Our next general membership meeting will be May 7th at 1 pm.
Our annual grad night party is coming! May 29th, 10 pm-4 am at Dimple Dell Rec Center. We are looking for donations for door prizes -anything teens like (gift cards, electronics, sports equipment, beauty services, etc). We are also looking for volunteers to attend the event. We had a great year recognizing Husky Heroes, and we are no longer taking nominations for the year. Thank you for your nominations!
