We Are Hillcrest!

Prom

Huskies! Prom this year will be held at This is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City. This dance is for all grades and is a formal dance. Please click HERE for dance guidelines. Guests must be of high school age and fill out the form found HERE or in the front office.

Sterling Scholar 

Hillcrest High School had seven finalists for the Sterling Scholar, and one of our own Huskies was named a winner! Cole Madsen was named the Vocal Performance Sterling Scholar for 2024! Congratulations!

Aspirations in Computing Awards

Two Hillcrest students: Marla Tumenjargal (National Honorable Mention, Northern Utah Winner) and Narayani Shankar (Honorable Mention) have been recognized by the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) through their Aspirations in Computing (AiC) award program. This award honors young women at the high school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Read about Marla’s accomplishments and dedication to computing HERE

QPR Training Suicide Prevention

Hillcrest will be hosting a QPR training on Tuesday, April 30th. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. These steps can help anyone learn to save a life from suicide. Please see the flyer below for more details. All Hillcrest High School employees, parents/guardians, and students are invited. 

HHS Summer School

Are you missing credit? Register for HHS Summer School! Each session is 8am-12pm Monday- Thursday in the Hillcrest Presentation Room. If you have questions please talk to your counselor or Mrs. Jessop in A173. To register for Session 1 (June 3-13) please click HERE. To register for Session 2 (June 17-27) please click HERE

Buses from Midvale, Midvalley, and East Sandy Elementary will pick up students at 7:30 a.m. and drop them off at 12:30 p.m.

We are a Community School!

We will have fresh fruits, vegetables, and other pantry items available at the Farmers Market at 2 p.m. in the cafeteria for students and their families. First come, first serve.

We will be continuing our Summer Farmers Market on June 5th and July 3rd from 11 am-12 pm in the HHS West Parking Lot (near the playground).

Our Hillcrest Free Market provides food, clothing, laundry, and hygiene products for our students and their families. Students who want to visit the market must check in to student support in A171.

Parents and families wanting to visit the Hillcrest Free Market will need to make an appointment with Liz Demke: call/text 385 351-4293. Please be sure to check out our website or on Instagram @hillcrestfreemarket for updates.

PTSA Message

Hillcrest Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) is here to serve the families of our school. 

Senior Scholarships- did you know that PTSA awards two $300 scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated service to the school or community and academic excellence? Students must be a member of Hillcrest PTSA to be awarded the scholarship.  Seniors can fill out the brief application at:

LOOKING FOR PRIZES for Grad Night!! Do you or your company want to donate prizes for Grad Night?
