Library Corner

As we prepare to close out the 2023-24 school year, the HHS library wants to make you aware of a few dates. This Friday, parents will be receiving an email with a list of all textbooks, library books, and Chromebooks (for seniors) that their students have checked out. Students also received a similar notice in their 5th-period classes. The items checked out are NOT due at this time, we simply want to make you aware of the items students have checked out. We will be turning in items the following dates:

May 17 & 20: Senior Chromebook & Charger Return

Senior Chromebooks will be returned in English classes on these dates. If your student is in grades 9-11 and returning to Hillcrest next year, please have them keep their Chromebook. Take good care of it and bring it back next year. (Please note: Chromebooks and Chromebook chargers for students in grades 9-11 are not listed on their checked-out materials sheet since they are not due at this time). If your student prefers to turn in their Chromebooks during summer break, please have them do so by FRIDAY, 5/24.

May 21 & 22: All Books Due

Textbooks (including English novels) and library books will be returned in students’ classes. Please keep items until that time unless your class is scheduled to return them in the library.

Any items not returned by the end of the school day on Friday, May 24, will be charged as a fee in Skyward.

If there are any discrepancies or questions, please contact the library at (801) 826-6050 or send an email to jenny.olsen@canyonsdistrict.org.
