  2. 2026-2027 TSSP Plan
    • The TSSP goals are as follows;
      • Academic goal: By spring of 2026-2027 HHS will demonstrate improved median student growth for 9th and 10th grade students by increasing MAP growth scores in both reading and math by at least 2% compared to the previous year’s median scores.
      • Climate goal: Achieve 90% average daily attendance rate as well as achieve 85% APP attendance rate so everyone is Every Husky, Every Day!
    • Approximate funding amount for TSSP is $591,500.00.
    • Discussion for Academic goal: As Federal money has decreased, the district is only allowing 81 FTE but next year will need at least 87 FTE. To help achieve the academic goal, there will be a focus on literacy in all classes. To help with the math goal a new math intervention software will be purchased. TSSP monies will be used to help cut classroom size by funding two math teachers, as well as 6 or more FTEs. It will also fund new math software, professional development and PLCs for teachers, buses for field trips, and two staff members for mentor support and ML support.
    • Discussion for Climate goal: Attendance has dropped throughout the state. HHS attendance is approximately 88%. Students with attendance concerns will receive targeted support which may be from a mentor or counselor. Monies from the TSSP will be allocated to fund 50% of a social worker salary to help support Tier 2 and Tier 3 students. It will also help fund a hall monitor,
    • Motion was made to approve the proposed TSSP Plan by Korina; seconded by Jenny; approved unanimously. Attendees signed the TSSP Plan.
  3. 2026-2027 LAND Trust Plan
    • The LAND Trust Plan goal is to increase the percentage of students on track to graduate from 54.88% to 60% by the end of the second quarter of the 2020-2027 school year.
    • Approximate funding amount for LAND Trust is $404,000.00.
    • Discussion for the LAND Trust Plan: When class sizes are too big students may not get enough support and have an increased risk of failing. Giving students increased access to core instruction can help give students the extra support they need. Early Warning Data will be used to monitor students to ensure that they are on track for graduation. The LAND Trust Plan monies will help reduce class sizes by adding additional class periods and teachers for math, english language arts, and science. In addition, it will fund a Literacy intervention teacher and additional elective class periods.
    • Motion was made to approve the proposed LAND Trust Plan by Debbie; seconded by Lindsay; approved unanimously. Attendees signed the LAND Trust Plan.
  4. Hillcrest Anti-Vaping Campaign
    • Follow up discussion to last month’s meeting. The zero tolerance campaign seems to be working well. When students need to be searched, the admin now has a wand to sweep the student.
  5. PTSA Update/Coordination
    • Teacher appreciation week in May.
    • Board elections coming up in the next few weeks.
    • Grad Night party will be held at Dimple Dell Rec Center from 10pm-4am. Graduation is at 6:30pm this year. The PTSA is looking for volunteers to help with the party set up, check in, and helping throughout the evening.
  6. Other Topics
    • Graduation practice will be on Friday, May 22nd and Tuesday, May 26th. Tuesday’s practice will also include a BBQ lunch. The school may need some volunteers to help with the BBQ.
    • Cell phone policy is always being discussed at the school. A bell to bell policy may be hard to maintain in a high school. We will add to May’s agenda.

Motion to adjourn the meeting by Alexandra, seconded by Jenny, approved unanimously.

Next Meeting – Wednesday, May 13th @ 5:00 p.m.
