Registration Information
Online Back-to-School Registration will be available in Skyward starting on August 3rd at 8:30 am.
RETURN STUDENTS: If your child has attended CSD in the past, you will use your Guardian Skyward Family Access ID and Password to begin the registration process on Skyward. Skyward can be accessed online or through the mobile app. Families who use the Skyward Mobile App will need to remove the old app and install it again with the new app.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it through this link: Forgotten Username/Password Assistance. Families needing password assistance can also contact the Canyons Help Desk at 801-826-5544.
Once logged into Skyward, simply follow the prompts and make personal identification updates as needed. If you need computer assistance, please come to the school (August 3-14; 8 am-2 pm)
NEW STUDENTS: If your child is new to Canyons and has never attended one of our schools, you will need to come to the school during open registration times to complete enrollment and registration with the following documents:
- Proof of Address (Dated & signed lease agreement, bank statement, or utility bill)
- Immunization Records or exemption form
- Birth Certificate
- Withdrawal Form & Transcript from Previous School
- Special Education Documents (if applicable)
School Pictures
School pictures will be taken for the yearbook and for student ID cards. After their picture is taken, all students will receive their school identification card. School identification cards will be needed for late entry into the school, school lunches, school dances, and other school-sponsored events. To order school pictures, click here.

- August 13, 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm: All grades during Back to School Night
- August 14, 8:00 am-12:00 pm: 9th grade during Freshman Orientation

Freshman Orientation
Welcome, incoming freshmen and families! Please review our Freshman Orientation Letter below for important information to help you prepare for the upcoming school year. You can also take our virtual video tour to explore the school and become familiar with the campus. We look forward to welcoming you!
We are excited that you will be attending Hillcrest High School and look forward to meeting you during Freshman Orientation on August 14th! This day is all about getting to know the school, becoming comfortable with your class schedule, and meeting your teachers, counselors, and administration. Please come prepared to have your school pictures taken.
The activities will begin at 7:45 am and finish at 12 pm. Refer to the schedule below for details. Lunch will be provided.

Back to School Night
Join Hillcrest on August 13th from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm in the Hillcrest Commons for our Annual Back-to-School Night! Learn about our clubs, athletic teams, and school programs. Free student haircuts and school supplies will be available. Students, take your school picture in the Auditorium! Free tacos for the first 500 people!
School Info
Student Fees
Student fees for some elective courses and extracurricular activities will be posted to Skyward during the second week of school. Athletic fees will be posted on Skyward when the sports season begins. All fees can be paid on Skyward. If you prefer to pay in person, please visit the main office. A list of board-approved fees is available HERE
If you think you qualify for a fee waiver, applications are available in the main office or HERE. To complete the process, you must bring one of the following to the main office along with a completed form: three most recent pay stubs or a current food stamp report. You must reapply and provide your proof of income every school year. This is required by Utah state law, even if you have previously qualified for a fee waiver.
Parking Permits
Parking permits are only available for Juniors and Seniors with a valid driver’s license and registration. Permits may be purchased in the main office for $10. For an application, please see the main office.
Bus Schedules

PTSA Updates
Hillcrest PTSA creates so many opportunities for our students to expand their experience in high school, including Reflections, Battle of the Bands, Grad Night party, Student Service Club, and more! Please consider joining our PTSA this year to support your student and our school. In high school, parents AND students can be members of PTSA!
