Principals Message: Daily Announcements

We are excited to announce we our live streaming our announcements here at Hillcrest High School every day. We invite our community to watch our announcements. See below on how to do this. We will also use this website to live stream games this year so we welcome you to get familiar with this website.

We will be using HillcrestTv.com (https://hillcresttv.com/) to centralize all streaming for the school.

There are 2 ways to access live events: morning announcements will start at 9:15 on the dot every morning.

  1. Stream directly from HillcrestTv.com
  1. Set your WIFI network to “CSD_AUTH”
  2. Search for https://hillcresttv.com/ in your browser
  3. Scroll down to Now Playing: HHS Live Stream.

    1. The livestream you are planning to watch should be the title of the video in the top left hand corner.

Click the play button in the middle of the video. When this happens, you should be redirected to a screen that looks like this with a countdown timer at the bottom that is actively counting towards zero.

  1. Make sure that you turn up the volume on your computer device and speakers in your classroom to make sure the video will have the accompanying audio.
  1. Stream the videos from Youtube
  1. Scroll down to the Live Stream Schedule on the website and click on the Youtube Link that corresponds with the event you want to watch:

For those of you who are struggling to access the video because the Youtube links aren’t loading up, please watch this video for tips on how to reset your chrome settings to allow Youtube videos to be played:

If you want to access the morning announcements after they are finished being recorded, there are two ways to access the videos:

IMPORTANT Parking Update:

***Important*** There is now access to the schools back parking lot off of 700 East. You may enter/exit through 700 East and that road will now continue through to 900 East. So, in essence, we have 2 entrances now. One off of 900 East and also one off of 700 East.

Picture Day:

Picture day is coming up on September 14th & 15th during the student’s Math class.  Students that do not have a math class may get their picture taken before school, during lunch, or during the APP period. Pictures are used for Hillcrest IDs and for the Hillcrest yearbook.  Families may choose to purchase additional pictures. Picture purchasing packets are available in Math classes and the Attendance Office. If you have any questions please contact the main office at 801-826-6000.

Superintendent Listening Tour:

CSD Superintendent Welcomes Questions, Feedback at Districtwide Listening Tour

Have a question about Canyons School District? Suggestions, concerns or compliments? Or maybe, after the months of social distancing that coincided with Dr. Rick Robins’ first year as CSD’s Superintendent, you’d like to meet him in person. Coming soon to a middle school near you: community members will have a chance to do just that as Dr. Robins travels the District for his inaugural Superintendent’s Listening Tour. The Town Hall-style events will run from 6:30-8 p.m. and take place at the following locations. Questions and comments can be submitted in advance or during the events at canyonsdistrict.org/voice. Just choose the “Superintendent’s Listening Tour” location from the dropdown list found on the submission form. Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available at the Indian Hills, Midvale Middle and Eastmont Middle events.
