Thanksgiving Support
Thanksgiving is around the corner! If you need assistance with a Thanksgiving meal this season, please fill out this form HERE. We will submit your information to our partner, Thanksgiving Heroes. They deliver uncooked meals on Saturday, November 21st. If you have any questions, please contact elizabeth.demke@canyonsdistrict.org or elena.reyes@canyonsdistrict.org.
PSAT
Sophomores and Juniors, the PSAT/NMSQT is upcoming on Wednesday, October 21. This test is the preliminary exam for the SAT & National Merit Scholarship. With the PSAT, you can help prepare for the ACT and help you understand skills to improve your knowledge. This is an optional test for Sophomores and Juniors. If you would like to take the exam, please pay $20 in the main office.
PTSA Updates

We have a Spirit Night coming up next Wednesday, September 30, at Cafe Zupas at Fort Union (1400 E Fort Union Blvd). They will donate 25% of orders to our PTSA if you tell them you’re there for our spirit night! See the flier attached.
PTA Reflections art program: the theme this year is “What My Culture Means to Me.” The deadline for entries is November 3!! Students may submit entries in the categories of Visual Arts, Photography, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, and Music Composition. Free Sports Physicals
Husky Athletes! We have partnered with the University of Utah to offer free sports physicals for our students on October 24th. If you are in need of a physical for an upcoming sport, please register for an appointment HERE. Physicals are valid for the entire school year. Please make sure to complete all paperwork on RegisterMyAthlete before your appointment.
Community Wellness Fair
We are partnering with Midvale Middle School to host a community wellness night on October 8th from 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm at Midvale Middle School (4852 S. Pioneer St., Midvale). We will have community resources, preventive health screenings, free haircuts, and free Chick-fil-A sandwiches!
We are a Community School!
Our Hillcrest Free Market provides our students with food, clothing, laundry facilities, showers, and other essential needs. If you are experiencing greater need this season, families can reach out to Elizabeth Demke for food or other assistance at 385-351-4294.
