As we wrap up the school year, the HHS Library would like to share a few important return dates.

Earlier this week, parents received an email listing any textbooks, library books, ELA novels, and senior Chromebooks currently checked out to their students. Students also received a copy during 5th period. These items are not due yet; the notice was sent to help families locate materials before check-in.

Any items not returned by the end of the school day on Friday, May 22, will be added as a fee in Skyward.

Alumni Association Fundraiser

1Wheel 1 Mission journey to benefit Hillcrest students

Kent Griffiths is on an epic coast-to-coast ride to fuel the Hillcrest High Alumni Association Scholarship Fund! He’s traveling from California to Virginia on an electric unicycle—yes, one wheel—and donating $1 for every mile he conquers. So far, Kent has powered through 1,207 miles, wrapping up May 12 in Nucla, Colorado.

Channel 2 (KUTV) is along for the ride and sharing Kent’s adventure. Watch their first news story here: https://kutv.com/news/local/an-rides-electric-unicycle-across-country-to-raise-money-for-students

Look for progress updates on KUTV’s eye on Utah—typically Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—with live check-ins during the 4:00 p.m. news (often around 4:30). Want to follow every mile? Track Kent’s route at 1wheel1mission.com.

Catch the latest update from Kent here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q59I8Q3olFE

Every dollar Kent raises—plus any additional donations—goes straight into scholarships for Hillcrest High’s Class of 2027. Applications for 2027 Seniors will open in January. Our motto, “Connecting the Past with the Future,” captures what this is all about: helping Hillcrest students take their next step, whether that’s trade school, vocational training, or college. Since 2017, the HHAA has awarded more than $96,000 in scholarships. Questions? Contact the HHAA at hillcresthighalumni@gmail.com or check out our website at https://hillcrestalumni.org/
