Senior (12th Grade) Corner

Utah College Application Week (UCAW)

Utah College Application Week (UCAW) will be Oct. 28-31. During this week, counselors and college representatives will help seniors (12th graders) apply to college.

On Monday, Oct. 28, seniors will participate in a kick-off event that will start at 9:00 am where they will have the opportunity to attend two 30-minute college sessions of their choice. We will have representatives from all colleges in Utah, including some private institutions, military representatives, and Vocational and Trade Programs. This is a great opportunity which we highly encourage seniors to attend. Some seniors have an Education Release. Please discuss with your student their schedule and encourage them to attend. Students who attend AM CTEC can pick up an excusal pass from the counseling center to give to CTEC to excuse their attendance for that day.

On Tuesday, Oct. 29, and Wednesday, Oct. 30, counselors will be in senior English classes helping students apply to college. Each student will be given a folder with information, including their transcript and other college-related information.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, all students who were absent the prior two days will have the opportunity to attend the makeup session in the Career Center during the 1st and 2nd periods.

Helpful information to have while applying to college includes: (please bring this information on the 29th and 30th to English class)

  • Driver License # (if have one)
  • Social security # (if have one)
  • S # If a concurrent enrollment student

We look forward to working with our seniors and helping them prepare for their future.
