NHS Scholarships:

Since 1946, scholarships have been awarded to outstanding NHS senior members. The scholarship program is supported by the parent organization of NHS, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). This year five Hillcrest High students were selected as this National Semifinalists and will receive a scholarship of $3,200! This was based on the four tenants of NHS which are scholarship, service, leadership, and character shared within the values of the school, communities and families around them.

AP Testing Order Deadline:

Attention all Parents of Students who plan on taking AP exams this year. The absolute final deadline to order an exam is Friday, March 11, 2022. After this date, you will not be able to order an AP exam for the 2021-2022 testing year. Please note that at this time there is an additional late fee of $40 per exam. If you have any questions, please contact Sherilyn Williams in the Counseling Center or by email at sherilyn.williams@canyonsdistrict.org.

PTSA Information:

PTA Meeting Wed March 9th 1:00pm in the conference room. All are welcome to attend and find out what great things are happening at Hillcrest.

Student Service Club Activity

Wed March 16th 2:30pm in the Conference Rm- help assemble St Patrick’s Day gift for the teachers. All are welcome to attend! Can count as service hours for IB, LIA, NHS, etc or just come for fun!

SENIORS- Grad Night is BACK! PTSA will throw a fun, safe, all night party for our graduating Seniors the night of their graduation, May 25th. It will be held at Dimple Dell Rec Center. More info will follow, but save the date!

Parents- We want YOU! Do you care about your child’s education? Want to know what’s happening at school? Want to get to talk to administration and help make important decisions? Join PTA and Join the conversation.

Husky Heroes

Husky Hero awards are given each month to two students in each grade who: Make a significant effort to help others, promote school unity, or overcome obstacles and improve themselves in some way.

Do you know a Husky who should be a recognized Hero? Anyone can submit a nomination– faculty, staff, parents or other students. Nominations should be submitted by the 23rd of each month. Paper nomination forms are available in the main office.
